GRES PRESIDENT

David Garza | David is an MBA Candidate at the McCombs School of Business and President of the Graduate Real Estate Society. With 8 years of experience in development, construction management and architecture, he has been involved in over 1M square feet of commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects. He brings a multidisciplinary approach to real estate, focusing on the intersection of finance, design, and execution. Post-MBA, he aims to work in private equity investment and development, leveraging his expertise to drive high-impact real estate investments. Outside of academics and professional pursuits, he enjoys outdoor sports, hiking the great national parks, and has a keen appreciation for design and craftsmanship.

VP OF CURRICULUM

Eric Hood | Before joining the Full-Time MBA Program at the McCombs School of Business, Eric spent nine years at Freddie Mac Multifamily, where he covered the Northeast region for the underwriting team and the entire United States for the securitization team. During his tenure, he underwrote more than 150 loans totaling over $5 billion, navigating a wide range of complex issues, including borrower ownership structures, affordable housing restrictions, and cross-collateralized portfolios. Eric holds a BS in Real Estate and Investment Finance from the University of South Carolina.

VP OF OPERATIONS

Diego Minjares | Born and raised in Mexico City, Diego earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and finance. With over five years of experience in the real estate industry, he worked at a vertically integrated real estate construction, development, asset management, and investment company. He specialized in hospitality while also gaining exposure to industrial, multifamily, and mixed-use assets. After his MBA, he aims to delve into the private equity side of the industry, focusing on the LP side to further expand his expertise in real estate investments. He currently serves as the VP of Operations for GRES, the VP of Corporate Partnerships for LAHMBA, is an active fellow of the Real Estate Investment Fund, and member of the golf and soccer clubs. He is also a passionate Formula 1 enthusiast.

DIRECTORS OF EXPERIENCE

Jack Walsh | Jack is a member of the McCombs MBA Class of 2026, focusing on real estate finance. In addition to serving as Director of Experience for the Graduate Real Estate Society, Jack is a member of Board Fellows and the Real Estate Investment Fund. Prior to McCombs, Jack worked as a portfolio manager at Jones Lang LaSalle, overseeing a $17 million commercial lease portfolio and leading strategic lease negotiations for BNSF Railway. Jack is from Dallas, TX and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Government.

Shreyas Khanjee | Shreyas Khanjee is a first-year MBA student focused on real estate finance, with a particular interest in debt and equity placement. He’s looking to dive deeper into the field and make a career switch into a role that aligns with his passion for finance. Shreyas is currently a credit analyst intern at VeraBank, where he is gaining valuable experience in financial analysis and lending. Before business school, he spent six years as an electrical product engineer at Cisco Systems, working on Catalyst 9300 products. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MSB from the University of Texas at San Antonio. After school or work you can find Shreyas listening to live music and spending time on the lake!

Miles Andres | As Director of Networking for the Graduate Real Estate Society at McCombs, Miles Andres brings a dynamic background in public affairs, campaign finance, and policy research to the real estate space. Prior to business school, he led record-breaking fundraising efforts for statewide and congressional campaigns and conducted economic development research for public and private sector clients. Now pursuing dual MBA and MPAff degrees at UT Austin, Miles leverages his strategic and relationship-building experience to connect GRES members with industry leaders, while deepening his own interest in real estate development and its intersection with public policy.

Pato Mondragon | Patricio is an MBA student from Mexico with nine years of full-time experience in infrastructure planning, infrastructure construction, residential construction, and real estate development in Mexico City. As an entrepreneur, he successfully led projects that shaped urban landscapes and contributed to economic growth. He holds a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. In his free time, Patricio enjoys spending time with his dog and listening to music.

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Meredith Sheth | Meredith is one of the biggest Longhorn fans you will meet. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with honors, earned her juris doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law, and now is earning her Masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business. Before earning her MBA, Meredith served as an attorney specializing in real estate and title law in Dallas, Texas. Along with being selected for the Director of Finance for the Graduate Real Estate Society, Meredith also serves as president for the Graduate Consulting Group, president for Graduate Women in Business, Student board member for the Girl Scouts of Central Texas, and a member of the University of Texas Real Estate Investment Trust. In her free time, Meredith enjoys volunteering for the Texas Exes Scholarship Evaluation Committee and playing mah jong. You can find her walking her dog around Austin!

Eduardo Aguirre | Eduardo is Civil Engineer with over eight years of experience in real estate development, specializing in multifamily and hospitality projects. He has worked with developers and private equity firms to build strong relationships and deliver impactful outcomes. Currently pursuing an MBA specializing in Real Estate Finance, Eduardo actively contributes to the Graduate Real Estate Society and the McCombs Real Estate Investment Fund, continuously enhancing his technical and financial expertise. In his free time, he is a passionate triathlete who enjoys biking the hills of West Austin and running on the Lady Bird Trail.

Sheena Thompson | Sheena is a first-year MBA candidate at the McCombs School of Business. She serves as the Director of Alumni Relations for the Graduate Real Estate Society and is a member of the Texas McCombs Real Estate Investment Fund. Prior to business school, she spent several years in corporate development, strategic pricing, and financial management at Ernst & Young and Accenture, advising on complex commercial deal structures and financial strategies for multi-million-dollar transactions. She is also a licensed Texas Realtor with over a decade of experience. Outside of school, Sheena enjoys travel, fitness, and exploring Austin’s outdoor spaces.

Jarod Angehr | Jarod is a licensed real estate agent serving commercial and residential clients across the Texas Triangle and a content creator with over 230k followers sharing real estate and personal finance insights. He holds a BBA in Finance from Texas State and is currently an MBA student at McCombs. Prior to business school, he worked in asset management at Goldman Sachs and private banking at JP Morgan. At McCombs, he co-founded the Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition Club and serves as VP of Internal Affairs for student government and Director of Events for GRES.

Olivia Schrantz | With five years of experience at a boutique, New York City real estate developer specializing in office value-add, Olivia has developed a strong foundation in commercial real estate. Post MBA, she aims to focus on development and asset management to drive strategic growth. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, staying active and spending time with friends and family.

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS

Bernardo Jimenez | Bernardo is a registered Architect in both New York and Texas with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to returning to his alma mater to earn an MBA, Bernardo spent 8 years in New York City cross-collaborating on various residential, commercial, and institutional projects, throughout the northeast. He worked on projects ranging in scale and budget across all phases of design- from schematic design to construction administration- with close attention to detail and confidence in ambiguity. He currently serves as an elected member of the Graduate Business Council as Cohort 1 Representative and will be taking on the additional roles of Peer Career Coach and Peer Leadership Coach in the coming year. His aim is to shape the world around him by forming creative environments and visualizing understandings to best contribute to the built environment.
