Laura Greissing is an MBA candidate in the class of 2020 pursuing a concentration in Real Estate Finance. Laura is originally from Chicago and graduated from Bucknell University where she played Division 1 lacrosse and majored in Sociology. Prior to McCombs, she worked with Hines Interests in their new business development as well as Property Management groups in Washington, DC and later with Stream Realty Partners in their Multifamily Division in Austin.
In addition to her role as GRES co-President, Laura is also a McCombs Real Estate Investment Fund Portfolio Manager and co-President of the Wellness Collective. She is also a member of the Graduate Business Adventure Team and Graduate Women in Business. Outside of McCombs, she is an active member of the Urban Land Institute. In her free time, Laura enjoys yoga, running with her dogs around Town Lake, reading, exploring new restaurants, and traveling.
ZACHARY H. GAITZ - CO-PRESIDENT
Zachary H. Gaitz is an MBA candidate in the class of 2020 pursuing a concentration in Finance and Investment Management. Zach is originally from Houston, TX and graduated from Wesleyan University with a B.A. in History where he also played on the Men’s Lacrosse team. Prior to McCombs, he worked as a Client Advisor for Bessemer Trust, an investment management firm. While at Bessemer, he worked on a client service team that managed the private and public assets of high-net-worth families, foundations, and trusts.
In addition to his role as GRES Co-President, Zach is also a McCombs MBA Investment Fund Analyst and represented the McCombs Real Estate Program at the 2018 CREFC Debt Case Competition in New York. He is also a member of the McCombs Ambassador Committee, Co-President of the Jewish MBA Group, and a member of the Adam Smith Society. Outside of McCombs, he is an active member of the Urban Land Institute. In his free time, Zach enjoys cooking, reading, running, and playing golf.
ANDREW JACOBS – VP OF COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Andrew Jacobs is an MBA candidate in the class of 2020 pursuing a concentration in Real Estate Finance. Andrew is from Miami, Fl and graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Risk Management. Prior to McCombs, Andrew’s real estate experience spans functions in business development, corporate finance, and acquisitions for real estate brokerage, development, and private investments firms. Most recently, Andrew spent three years as an acquisitions analyst for COFE Properties in Miami, FL, where he led the acquisition of 74 industrial, office, retail, and self-storage buildings valued at over $170M at purchase.
In addition to his role as GRES VP of Community Involvement, Andrew is a McCombs Real Estate Investment Fund Portfolio Manager, serves on Farmshare Austin’s nonprofit board as a McCombs Board Fellow, and is VP of Corporate Relations for the Latin American Hispanic MBA organization. On his free time, Andrew likes to pretend he is still a college athlete, reads, and plays Nintendo.
CHRISTOPHER CRANE - CO-VP OF STUDENT ENGAGEMENT
Christopher Crane is an MBA candidate in the class of 2020 pursuing a concentration in Real Estate Finance. Christopher is originally from San Antonio and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA and MPA from the McCombs School of Business. Prior to returning to school, he worked as a Tax Senior for Ernst & Young in San Antonio.
In addition to his role in GRES, Christopher is also a McCombs Real Estate Investment Fund Portfolio Manager and a McCombs Board Fellow with UrbanRoots in Austin. He is also a member of the McCombs Ambassador Committee. Outside of McCombs, he is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and the Real Estate Council of Austin. In his free time, Christopher enjoys reading, watching Longhorn football, exploring new restaurants, and travelling.
STEPHEN NAIDU – CO-VP OF STUDENT ENGAGEMENT
Stephen Naidu is an MBA candidate in the Class of 2020 pursuing a concentration in Real Estate Finance and Private Equity. Stephen is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and attended Colgate University in Hamilton, NY graduating with a BA in History with a minor in Economics. Prior to McCombs Stephen worked in New York City for Lincoln Property Company working in office leasing brokerage and real estate development. As an Assistant Vice President, Stephen worked cross-functionally on tenant representation, asset management, and acquisitions.
In addition to his role as Co-VP of Student Engagement, Stephen is also a McCombs Real Estate Investment Fund manager and the Co-President of the MBA Improv Club. Outside of McCombs Stephen is a member of the Urban Land Institute, The Real Estate Council of Austin, and REBNY. In his free time, Stephen is the lead male vocalist for The Rowling Stones, enjoys skiing, tennis, and is a BBQ enthusiast.
CHRISTOPHER GOFF – CO-VP OF FINANCE
Christopher Goff is an MBA candidate in the class of 2020 concentrating in private equity finance and real estate finance. Originally from Fort Worth, Christopher attended New York University, graduating summa cum laude with a B.A. in Economics. Prior to McCombs, Christopher worked in New York City as an Associate for WM Capital Partners, a real estate focused distressed debt and special situations investment firm. As a member of WM’s acquisitions team, Christopher underwrote sub-performing and non-performing loans secured by commercial real estate, operating companies, equipment, personal guarantees and life insurance policies located in the United States, Europe and the Caribbean. Before WM, Christopher worked in the electronic component procurement industry where he held roles in international account management and supply chain analytics. Currently, Christopher is working as a Venture Fellow Associate at CAVU Venture Partners, a consumer goods focused venture capital firm.
In addition to serving as GRES VP of Finance, Christopher is a VP of Curriculum for Venture Fellows, Portfolio Manager on the McCombs Real Estate Investment Fund, and a member of the Graduate Finance Association, Urban Land Institute and Real Estate Council of Austin. Outside of McCombs, he enjoys spending time with his dog West, HIIT training and fly-fishing.
Kyle Bateman - Co-VP of Finance
Kyle Bateman is an MBA candidate in the class of 2020 pursuing a concentration in Real Estate Finance and Private Equity. Kyle is originally from Dallas and graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelors and masters degree in accounting. Prior to McCombs, he worked as an Associate in the Finance and Investments group of TRT Holdings in Dallas, TX. While at TRT, his responsibilities included investment evaluation, financial modeling and analysis, market research, and transactional due diligence. He has experience across a wide array of industries including, but not limited to, hospitality, energy, real estate, and healthcare.
In addition to his role as GRES co-VP of Finance, Kyle is also a McCombs Real Estate Investment Fund Portfolio Manager. He is also a member of the Graduate Finance Association and the Graduate Business Adventure Team. In his free time, Kyle is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys running, golf, bird hunting, and fishing.
HUYLER BROOKS – VP OF MARKETING
Huyler Brooks is an MBA candidate in the class of 2020 pursuing a concentration in Real Estate Finance and Investment. Huyler is a native Austinite graduating from Southern Methodist University with a B.b.a and a Minor in Mandarin Chinese. Huyler has spent time, professionally, in mainland China with several multi-national firms. Most recently, he was based in Dallas as a consultant and broker for Aon Plc. There, he specialized in international risk management for Fortune 500 and 1000 companies and directed 120+ colleagues - across 80+ countries – to execute risk management strategy on behalf of each his 14 clients.
In addition to his position as the GRES Vice President of Marketing, Huyler is a Portfolio Manager within the McComb’s Real Estate Investment Fund and a member of the Urban Land Institute, and Real Estate Council of Austin. As an Eagle Scout, Huyler is passionate about civic engagement and offers his time to organizations focused on assisting Austin’s homeless and aging populations. Huyler is and avid fly-fisherman, traveler, scuba diver, and is six flights from attaining his powered paragliding license.
TOM MARSHALL – VP OF COMMUNICATIONS
Tom Marshall is an MBA candidate in the class of 2020 concentrating in real estate and private equity finance. Tom is originally from Dallas TX and attended the University of Texas graduating with a BA in Biology and minors in Health IT and Business. Prior to attending McCombs, Tom was a senior associate at EDGE Realty Partners in Dallas TX where he represented several national tenants such as Dick’s Sporting Goods, Burlington Stores, and Panera Bread in their expansions across Texas and the southwestern United States. Before getting into real estate, Tom worked as a consultant for 3 years in Kansas City, Austin, and Dallas.
In addition to serving as the GRES VP of Communications, Tom is also a portfolio manager for the McCombs Real Estate Investment Fund and a member of the McCombs Ambassador Committee, Urban Land Institute, The Real Estate Council of Austin, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Outside of school, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife Natalie, training for the zombie apocalypse, travelling, and cheering on the Horns.
